The Co-op is Hiring!

The Co-op started out as a volunteer-run buying club, and now we operate with both paid staff and working members--it's a great mix! Everyone at the Co-op--either staff or working members--shares the same committment to local ownership and great quality food and other products. Come in to see what the fuss is all about!

Ute Bischoff

Ute Bischoff began working at the Co-op in June 2023. She brings over 20 years retail experience with her. Ute loves the Co-op and the community of people that shop in the store.

Ute spends her non-Co-op time caring for her Gotland sheep, various pet birds, and knitting or quilting.

Leslie Bender

Leslie has worked for the Co-op since 2014. She regularly covers the Sunday shift, and her favorite midmorning snack when on duty is Argyle Honey Flavored Yogurt.

When not at the Co-op, Leslie volunteers at Hildene in Manchester, VT and at my grandchildren’s school. She enjoys gardening and kayaking when weather permits.

Interim General Manager

Kathleen Quinn

Kathleen has been involved with the Co-op since moving to Cambridge in 2016. Immediately prior to becoming the Interim General Manager, Kathleen served on the Board, and prior to that took on a "temporary" role in management that stretched to two years.

Kathleen loves working around food, close to local agriculture, within walking distance of her home, and with the great people of the Co-op and Cambridge community. She also loves working in a business that is part of the "alternative economy," which seeks to build a sustainable alternative to the capitalist model of commerce.

When she's not at the Co-op, she's with her family or in her garden.
